If you were in the library today, you probably noticed that three of the tables are a lot shorter than they used to be. We're just trying something new. Let us know what you think of the coffee table height and the cushions. Fill out a comment card at the library and leave it in the white basket at the circulation desk.

The Broadway Neighbourhood Community Centre provides activities for at risk youth. This video was made by boys who participated in the Just TV program. You can read the entire story, Broadway Neighbourhood Centre successfully aims creative programming at younger age group, on the CBC website.

Each fall, Polar Expressions holds two writing contests, which are open to Canadian students in kindergarten through grade twelve. The two categories of writing are poetry and short story.

Teachers can use this as part of their Language Arts program, or individual students can enter on their own.
